Ahoy, everybody! It’s time to get aboard again and continue our nautical adventure!

Sea those stripes? Many designers this year incorporate the striped pattern in their summer collections. Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Michael Kors, Calvin Klein , Tory Burch, Oscar de la Renta or Valentino, to enumerate a few, are inspired by nautical motifs and feature stripes on the runway this season.
What is your favorite ice cream flavor? Vanilla, strawberry, coconut, mint or maybe something more imaginative like ginger rosewater, white chocolate banana curry or goat cheese cashew caramel? I must confess that I haven’t tried those last three yet (they definitely sound tempting), but so far, my old time favorite flavor is … now you know! Pistachio!
Michael Stars, a California based brand of contemporary clothing and luxury essentials has found its way to New York City! You could spot their mobile curbside boutique all over Manhattan. I met the Michael Stars crew and Natalie Suarez yesterday in the Meatpacking District. Their truck was curbed in Manhattan on the 14th and 9th Avenue. First such a fashion experience for me! And how great it was and what a wonderful idea!

Spring is here with its splash of colors all around: yellows, reds, pinks, whites, purples and greens. All bold and bright, scintillating in the sun!
This craziness in nature awakes in me a craving for vivid, optimistic color. One glance at my watermelon purse and I already know it would satisfy my color hunger!

Yesterday evening, I was invited to an exclusive shopping event at Donna Karan New York hosted by Natalie Suarez, model and blogger who was featuring a new DKNY City Surfing collection. We all enjoyed champagne, cupcakes and great music! I had a chance to meet Natalie, her sister Dylana Suarez, also fashion blogger and stylist, and many other great people.

You can see a lot of the houndstooth pattern on the streets again this season: scarves, blouses, pants and…purses! Are you a happy owner of the houndstooth too?

I love finding pieces that match! It may be a color, texture, design, material, pattern or just a detail. The outfit should become a complete look and have a character but at the same time the pieces should stand on their own. Mission impossible? Not at all!
