Time to open the secret garden’s gate again to walk around the charming ponds and admire the blooming flowers. So come in and follow me!

Pastels: soft, delicate, light hues of color, so loved by Eugène Boudin and Claude Monet. Petals: romantic allegory of fragility, softness and bloom of woman’s skin.
Welcome to the secret garden of floral pattern and pastel palette.

Girls Empowerment Fashion Runway Show at Yotel Hotel last Saturday was the grand finale event of the Women & Fashion Film Festival week sponsored by TRUE Model Management. What an exciting event! I was invited by Dale Noelle, President and Founder of TRUE Model Management who explained the idea behind the show: motivate, promote and empower women and girls to follow their dreams and be confident not only with their bodies but with who they are. How inspiring!
Yesterday, I joined the founders of Juicy Couture for the launch of their book “The Glitter Plan”at Bloomingdale’s 59th and Lexington Avenue. Splendid event! I not only met Pamela Skaist-Levy and Gela Nash-Taylor and got their autograph, but also shook hands with Glenda Bailey.

Sea those stripes? Many designers this year incorporate the striped pattern in their summer collections. Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Michael Kors, Calvin Klein , Tory Burch, Oscar de la Renta or Valentino, to enumerate a few, are inspired by nautical motifs and feature stripes on the runway this season.
What is your favorite ice cream flavor? Vanilla, strawberry, coconut, mint or maybe something more imaginative like ginger rosewater, white chocolate banana curry or goat cheese cashew caramel? I must confess that I haven’t tried those last three yet (they definitely sound tempting), but so far, my old time favorite flavor is … now you know! Pistachio!
Michael Stars, a California based brand of contemporary clothing and luxury essentials has found its way to New York City! You could spot their mobile curbside boutique all over Manhattan. I met the Michael Stars crew and Natalie Suarez yesterday in the Meatpacking District. Their truck was curbed in Manhattan on the 14th and 9th Avenue. First such a fashion experience for me! And how great it was and what a wonderful idea!

Spring is here with its splash of colors all around: yellows, reds, pinks, whites, purples and greens. All bold and bright, scintillating in the sun!
This craziness in nature awakes in me a craving for vivid, optimistic color. One glance at my watermelon purse and I already know it would satisfy my color hunger!
