This month, 13th turned out to be Friday and, although it could have been unlucky for some, Cinderella certainly can’t complain hitting $23 million on its premiere day, becoming Disney’s biggest 2D PG-rated opening of all time.
Once upon a time, beyond the Cold Sea, there was a land of stones and woods of golden trees. In one of the woods, called the North Woods, there was a secluded Black House where lived a girl who dreamt of sparkle and glam. One day, she met the Wise Rabbit that told her, “Beyond these woods, there lies a Magnificent Kingdom filled with the glitter of stardust and luminous suns. To find the path that will lead you there, you have to listen what the Blue Lip has to say”. The girl didn’t know who the Blue Lip was or where to find it but she was eager to look for it so she kept her eyes wide open.
There it is, the It Purse of January 2015: Valentino Rockstud Chevron Shoulder Bag.
With this stunner, I start what seems a natural and obvious section of my blog: “It Purse of the Month“. Each month, I will come up with my “It Purse” pick and present it in a short article to share with you my current fixation.

Are you wondering if your striped dress, blouse or bikini will still be on the menu this spring/summer 2015? No worries! Fashion designers once again serve us a platter of mix stripes of all colors and directions that, put together in an unexpected way, will become a real sensation this upcoming season. But did you know that wearing stripes had once been a perilous venture?
Who doesn’t fall for chic-year-round, sensational tiger stripes? Inspired by the untamed, this wild-meets-glam print excites imagination, ignites creativity, stimulates inner strengths and inflames instincts. Infused with vibrant shades or balanced with monochromatic pieces, it delivers a confident, graphic pop and decadent flair, perfect for a girls’ night out or a visit in an art gallery. It’s hard to believe that there are only slightly over 3000 tigers living in the wild today, all of them in Asia.
‘What’s in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet.’
Romeo and Juliet, William Shakespeare
“People where you live,” the little prince said, “grow five thousand roses in one garden… yet they don’t find what they’re looking for…[…] And yet what they’re looking for could be found in a single rose […]”― Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, The Little Prince
Deer hunting or war zone fighting, camouflage has been widely used for its disguising qualities for centuries. Nowadays however, it aggressively comes out of the forests and battlefields, and makes its striking appearance on the fashion runways in the collections of Valentino, Michael Kors, Jean Paul Gaultier, Christian Laboutin, Manolo Blahnik, Carolina Herrera, to enumerate a few. And this time, camouflage is applied not to hide or blend in but to be noticed and admired!
