Fantastic ambiance, talented emerging designers, edgy make-ups, fabulous guests, spinning music, great networking and lots of glamorous fashion were the spotlights of the Emerging Trends Fashion Celebration organized by the SYNERGY Events last weekend at the Vermilion, 480 Lexington Avenue in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, NYC.

Last Saturday, I attended Angela & Roi Trunk Show in Soho where I had a great pleasure to meet the designer Angela and talk about her unique collection of handbags and “Donate by Color” movement that the brand advocates.
Object of desire, fascination, envy and inspiration, a high-heeled shoe was a star at the Brooklyn Museum event last Saturday. From the Venetian Renaissance exquisite slippers to the killer stilettos of Christian Louboutin, the exhibition featured more than 160 shoes by various designers including Chanel, Prada, Salvatore Ferragamo, Manolo Blahnik, Alexander McQueen, Vivienne Westwood, Elsa Schiaparelli and others.
NY Fashion Week is all about discoveries- new trends, next season’s color palette, top designers’ new creations and inspirations are revealed. I love the excitement, suspension and that mysterious aura spreading above the runways just before the show starts. But it is also a thrilling opportunity to meet people, come across new brands and discover up-and-coming fashion designers from all over the world. And, this is exactly how I met Alessia and Simona Iuliucci from Italy and learnt about their label Atelier Sorelle Iuliucci while attending the NY Couture Fashion Week at the Crowne Plaza Times Square on 5th September.
Coco Chanel couldn’t have put this better when she once said: “Every day is a fashion show and the world is the runway“. NY Fashion Week is over but the show must go on! And it does, all around the world with LA Fashion Week (4-13th October) followed by Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week coming to Istanbul and Tokyo (13-18th October), then going to Moscow (23-27st October).
