It was a hot summer evening yesterday at the Express Time Square flagship store where Kate Upton made her appearance to launch a new fall denim campaign for the brand. You may recognize Kate’s face from her stunning photos in Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issues (check out Zero Gravity shots!), June2013 Vogue cover or commercials for David Yurman and Sam Edelman. She was also a face of Guess (2010-2011) and this year she starred next to Cameron Diaz in the comedy ‘The Other Woman” (beware cheating guys!). Few months ago, she became a brand ambassador for clothing line Express and their new jeans collection. How thrilling! Girls Empowerment Fashion Runway Show at Yotel Hotel last Saturday was the grand finale event of the Women & Fashion Film Festival week sponsored by TRUE Model Management. What an exciting event! I was invited by Dale Noelle, President and Founder of TRUE Model Management who explained the idea behind the show: motivate, promote and empower women and girls to follow their dreams and be confident not only with their bodies but with who they are. Michael Stars, a California based brand of contemporary clothing and luxury essentials has found its way to New York City! You could spot their mobile curbside boutique all over Manhattan. I met the Michael Stars crew and Natalie Suarez yesterday in the Meatpacking District. Their truck was curbed in Manhattan on the 14th and 9th Avenue. First such a fashion experience for me! And how great it was and what a wonderful idea!

Yesterday evening, I was invited to an exclusive shopping event at Donna Karan New York hosted by Natalie Suarez, model and blogger who was featuring a new DKNY City Surfing collection. We all enjoyed champagne, cupcakes and great music! I had a chance to meet Natalie, her sister Dylana Suarez, also fashion blogger and stylist, and many other great people.
