We may still have a week or two to wait for the flowers to bloom here in NYC but spring already said a sunny “hello” last Thursday at Lord & Taylor’s flagship store on Fifth Avenue, kicking off the season with #ShoesFirst party together with Nina Garcia the Creative Director at Marie Claire Magazine and Project Runway Judge.

It was a perfect spring shoes shopping moment for all shoe lovers, and an exciting opportunity to get some advice on these SS15 shoe trends from the stylish lady who always gets dressed #ShoesFirst.

Nina Garcia talked about how she starts a day with the shoes that indicate her mood and boost her confidence to be the person she wants to be for that day. Her “shoes first” idea became so inspiring that Marie Claire followed with bi-annual shoe fetish craziness and tons of shoes, of course.

While sipping refreshing cucumber cocktails, enjoying shoe-smiley cupcakes and chatting with Nina, shoppers were cruising around Lord & Taylor’s second floor that could officially be named “Shoe Heaven”.

Jeweled sandals, glittery flats, floral sneakers, gladiators and colorful strappy heels are the ones to hunt for this SS15 and no wonder they drew the most attention. The new Chiara Ferragni Winking Glitter loafers and sneakers were hard to resist and many, including me, just couldn’t help but try them on.
